According to the recent forecast by Forbes, in four years, neither Carlos Slim Helu nor Bill Gates would be the world’s richest person. With the estimated net worth of $62 billion, the Indian energy tycoon, Mukesh Amabani is predicted to be the richest person on the earth. Mr. Ambani’s Reliance Industries is into textiles, petrochemicals, petroleum refining and oil & gas exploration and production.
While Mr.Ambani’s net worth is estimated to increase to $62 billion, the Mexican tycoon’s net worth is predicted to dip down due to Mexican political policies and the financial chaos in the country. We have to wait for another four years to see if Forbes’s prediction is correct.
Wonderful news from New England Journal of Medicine: Staring at women’s breasts is good for men’s health and can add extra years to life. Dr. Karen Weatherby and her colleagues conducted a research at a hospital in Frankfurt, Germany correlating life expectancy and breast watching. The researchers instructed half the participants to watch breasts for few minutes every day and instructed the remaining participants to refrain from breast watching. At the end of the study, the researchers noted that the men who ogled at the breasts of females on a regular basis exhibited lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and lesser episodes of coronary artery disease.
Sexual desire leads to better blood circulation:
The researchers declared that sexual desire gives rise to better blood circulation that signifies an overall improved health. Dr.Weatherby explained, “Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There’s no question: Gazing at breasts makes men healthy.”
This story began circulating back in late 90’s and was posted in many tabloids. In fact, slight variations of this story are posted even now. Unfortunately, there is no Dr.Weatherby and no such research was ever done – it was just another hoax in the internet. So if you want to keep your blood pressure and pulse rate normal, you have to hit the gym – staring at breasts don’t work.
There is a disease called maple syrup urine disease, the disease is characterized by a sweet and distinctive odor in the urine that is similar to the maple syrup. The reason for MSUD is the deficiency in an enzyme that makes it hard to breakdown amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine. 1 in 180,000 infants are affected by MSUD in the United States, but it could be as high as 1 in 176 infants in certain inbred population like Mennonites in Pennsylvania. If MSUD is left untreated, it causes brain damage and other neurological issues and eventually leads to death.
The good thing is, individuals can still lead a normal life with the dietary restrictions and proper medical tests.
Haiti has one of highest violence rate against women and rape has been used as a political weapon to threaten them. Rape was not even a crime until 2005. Before that, victims were paid money for rape — not everybody was given money though. In spite of the law in place, penalty for rape is still not severe when compared to United States or any other developed nation.
Let’s hope the penalty for such offences are made severe and women in Haiti stop living in fear of being raped.
Lot of people think sharing personal goals with friends will make you accountable for executing it for the risk of appearing as a failure, but repeated psychological research have shown that telling someone your personal goals make it less likely to happen. Ideally, you work hard on your goals to achieve it and you don’t get the satisfaction until you achieve it. But when you tell your goals and people acknowledge it, your mind is tricked into thinking that it is already done. So your mind stops taking the effort it takes to do the actual work to achieve your goals.
So guys, the next time if you want to share your goals, better keep your mouth shut.

Stomach produces a gastric acid that helps to break down food components. And this gastric acid contains hydrochloric acid and its pH level is in the range of 1-2 which is strong enough to destroy a wooden piece. So how does stomach prevents from digesting itself? It’s the bicarbonate, an alkaline, that is produced to neutralize the acid in stomach. In fact, this alkaline prevents stomach from digesting itself.
If the gastric acid is over produced due to bacterial infection or improper supply of blood to stomach, it could lead to gastric ulcer and usage of drugs like ibuprofen and aspirin could worsen or cause ulcers. If the ulcers are minor, it can be treated with antacids that neutralize the stomach acidity.
